Structural Firefighting Gear

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is issuing an Intent to Sole Source Notice to award a contract to Safeware Inc. for the lifecycle replacement of ten (10) sets of structural firefighting protective gear for the Mount Weather Fire and Rescue Department. The gear must meet NFPA 1851, NFPA 1971, NFPA 1500, and OSHA standards, and include a custom TecGen 71 coat and pant with specified materials and moisture barriers. The contractor is responsible for sizing, documentation, warranty, and delivery within 365 days of order receipt. The total estimated cost shall not exceed $50,000. • Deliver 10 complete sets (1 coat + 1 pant each) of custom Fire Dex TecGen 71 protective gear. • Must comply with NFPA 1851, 1971, 1500 and OSHA requirements. • Provide sizing support, warranty, care instructions, and all required certifications. • Delivery to Mount Weather Emergency Operations Center, Mt. Weather, VA, within 365 days of order receipt. • Maximum contract value $50,000; sole‑source award to Safeware Inc.
