Construction Manager at Risk - UCM Welcome Center and UTT/Grinstead Facelift

The University of Central Missouri is seeking a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) for the construction of a new Welcome Center and the facelift of the Grinstead and Utt Buildings. The project includes the construction of a two-story building with gathering space, assembly space, and dedicated pedestrian pathways. The CMAR will be responsible for construction means and methods, self-performing limited amounts of work, and managing all construction-related contracts. The project has an estimated total cost of $30,000,000.00 and is expected to be completed by January 31, 2028. • The CMAR will work with the Owner and the design team to ensure cost, quality, and schedule alignment. • The CMAR will provide budget and variance reporting, ensure construction complies with contract documents, and report regularly on construction progress. • The CMAR will also provide advice to the Owner on the selection of independent testing agencies and coordinate the activities of testing firms. • The project requires a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) contract and the CMAR must have experience working with qualified and experienced subcontractors and trade partners. • The CMAR must also have a quality control process and a job site safety program.
