Demo & Disconnect - Connell - 2505 15th Avenue

The City of Moline is soliciting electronic bids from qualified contractors for the demolition and utility disconnection of residential structures under the Strong Communities Program 2 (SCP2). The project involves demolishing a two-story house with aluminum siding and shingle roof, which is considered a Regulated Asbestos Containing Material (RACM). The contractor will be responsible for applying for and obtaining necessary permits, disconnecting utilities, and disposing of the structure and materials in accordance with EPA regulations and City ordinances. Key tasks include: • Demolishing the residence, garage, sidewalks, fencing, tree, and laundry poles • Disconnecting and repairing sewer and water at mains in the street • Applying for and obtaining a demolition permit and paying the fee • Following EPA 40 CFR 763 sub–Asbestos Removal Plan for asbestos removal • Maintaining waste shipment records and containing water and salt as needed The project is part of the City's efforts to improve public health and safety, eliminate blight, and support neighborhood revitalization.
