Description

The Sacramento County Department of Health Services, Division of Behavioral Health Services, is seeking qualified providers to deliver Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) as part of the County's specialty mental health service array for Medi-Cal beneficiaries ages 15 and older with Serious Mental Illness (SMI). The selected provider will be responsible for administering TMS in accordance with Medi-Cal medical necessity criteria, BHS policies, and all applicable federal and state regulations. The program requires coordination with referring clinicians and County-operated or contracted programs to support continuity of care. Providers must maintain timely documentation, utilize standardized assessment tools, and participate in required reporting and quality improvement activities. The goal of the program is to increase treatment options, reduce reliance on higher-level services, and support long-term recovery and wellness. Some key points to consider: * The provider must have at least two years of experience providing TMS services to clients ages 15 and older. * The provider must have a licensed psychiatrist with TMS certification to oversee treatment. * The provider must use FDA-cleared devices and follow all required parameters, including stimulation settings, treatment frequency, coil placement, safety precautions, contraindications, and patient monitoring requirements. * The provider must ensure that all staff delivering TMS have completed accredited training and demonstrated professional competency. * The provider must maintain sufficient staffing capacity to meet projected referral volume and avoid waitlists.
