CT3-CORR CM: CM Remed of Corrosion in Water Tunnel Facilities

The Department of Environmental Protection is seeking a consultant to provide construction management services for the remediation of corrosion in water tunnel facilities. The project includes structural, geotechnical, mechanical, electrical, and corrosion repairs for Main Valve Chambers at Shafts 2B, 13B, and 15B. The consultant will lead the construction management effort, including repair of cracked, spalled, and delaminated concrete, concrete void injection, and installation of weep holes. The consultant will also provide technical support and guidance on major issues and ensure compliance with applicable policies and performance measures. • The project includes remediation of three underground valve chamber complexes. • The work includes application of wax tapings and epoxy coatings to protect mechanical components. • The project requires proper sealing of concrete encasements and wall penetrations to prevent groundwater infiltration. • The consultant must have experience with construction management services and be authorized to practice engineering in the State of New York. • The consultant must submit a proposal that includes a technical proposal, price proposal, and other required documents.
