Description
The Department of Water, County of Kauai, is soliciting bids for the furnishing and delivery of one (1) one-ton 4x4 super cab pickup truck with liftgate and accessories. The truck must meet the minimum specifications outlined in the solicitation, including a new, current production model, a super cab one-ton 4x4 pickup truck with a minimum GVWR of 11,800 lbs, and a 6.8L gas V-8 engine with minimum 405 horsepower and 445 lb.-ft torque. The successful bidder will be required to deliver the truck within 365 calendar days. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder whose offer is deemed to be in the best interest of the Department.

* Inverter - 3,000-watt continuous power, 6,000-watt surge, 12-volt DC input, pure sine wave, dual outlets on the inverter, one hard-wired outlet inside the cab near the front of the truck, 2.1 AMP USB outlet on the inverter, short circuit protection, dual cooling fans, in-line fuse kit, power remote on/off switch, battery isolation switch. Replace the two OEM installed batteries with two (2) deep cycle AGM high amp HR batteries. Inverter installed inside the cab under the rear seat.
* Light Bar - Whelen Justice WCX series light bar model RX2FFFF- 56.25” amber/white DUO or equal to, 4 corner lights (Duo white/amber), super LED alley lights (on each side of light bar), super LED take-down lights (2 in the front 2 in the rear), DUO white/amber (8 in front 8 in rear), control system - Whelen core C system with Whelen CCP9 controller and Whelen WEM-16 expansion module, strap kit for Ford Super Duty Pickup.
* Rustproofing - The complete automotive equipment shall be covered with a mastic underseal & treated with Tuff-Kote, Ziebart or equal, rust preventative material. The contractor shall furnish a copy of the warranty for each unit delivered.
* Manuals - The following manufacturer’s manuals in paperback, CD, or USB drive, shall be provided: a) Operators’ manual, b) Parts manual, c) Service manual
