Description
The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified firms to provide Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) services for the project listed in the attached Exhibit(s). The project involves providing CEI services for I-16 from I-95 Chatham to SR 67 Bulloch. The selected consultant will be responsible for providing general engineering and design services for the project. The scope of work includes monitoring traffic control and erosion control, inspecting and supervising lower-level inspectors, and performing other related tasks.
• The consultant will be required to have experience with GDOT-specific processes, manuals, or guidance.
• The consultant will be required to have a thorough knowledge of specifications and standards, acceptable construction practices, materials, methods, and equipment used in highway construction and engineering.
• The consultant will be required to have the ability to read and comprehend construction plans and all other documents associated with the project.
• The consultant will be required to have a thorough knowledge of mathematical functions, including algebraic, geometric, and trigonometric calculations related to highway/transportation engineering.
