The County of Los Angeles, Internal Services Department, is seeking bids for the custom fabrication and installation of six storefront window interview booths with Norcon Communications talk-thru units. The booths must be constructed using tin can stud framing, with gray aluminum storefront window framing and 1/2” clear laminated glass. Each booth will have a talk-thru unit and an opening at the bottom to pass paperwork through. The winning vendor will need to take final measurements before manufacturing and complete the work over a weekend, from Friday evening to Sunday evening, to avoid affecting business operations.
• The interview booths section will be 34 feet and nine inches wide, with several heights, and must clear the ceiling by 24 inches.
• Each booth will have a 3.5-inch circular hole for the talk-thru unit and a 12-inch wide by 3-inch tall open slot at the bottom for passing paperwork.
• The vendor must have a minimum of five years of experience in the fabrication and installation of storefront windows and a C17 contractor's license.
• All labor will be prevailing wage, and the project will be subject to the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) requirements.
