Description

The Interurban Transit Partnership (ITP) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide perimeter fencing for the Amtrak parking lot in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The project involves the removal of existing fencing and the installation of new ornamental fencing, approximately 4 feet high, along the north and west sides of the parking lot. The successful bidder will be required to provide all necessary materials, labor, and equipment to complete the project. The project is funded in part by grants from the Federal Government under the Federal Transit Act and the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT). • The project requires the installation of a black powder-coated aluminum alloy extruded 3-rail fence. • The fence will have lengths approximately 119 feet, 48 feet, and 216 feet sections. • The contractor will be responsible for site cleanup, including waste disposal, after the installation of the new perimeter security fence. • The contractor will be required to provide a property/boundary line survey prior to fencing installation to confirm the location of the fencing on ITP property. • The contractor will be responsible for storage and security of all materials and equipment at the work site. • Fencing posts will be secured 3 feet into the ground with concrete.
