Description
The State of Illinois, Department of Natural Resources, is seeking a vendor to provide trained crew members for prescribed fire operations in southern Illinois. The vendor will be responsible for providing crew members who have completed S-130, S-190, and fire field day training, and have experience with all aspects of prescribed fire operations. The contract will have an initial term of approximately 1 year and 5 months, with a maximum total term of 10 years. The vendor will be required to provide a work log for each day crews are working, and invoices will be submitted on a monthly basis. The State reserves the right to terminate the contract for convenience, and the vendor must maintain records relating to the performance of the contract for a period of 3 years.
Key aspects of the job include:
• Providing trained crew members for prescribed fire operations
• Performing prescribed fire tasks under the direction of an IDNR-employed Certified Prescribed Burn Manager
• Mitigating hazards and maintaining firebreaks
• Providing equipment and supplies as requested by the Primary Job Coordinator
• Maintaining records and submitting invoices in a timely manner
