The Precision Measurement Grant Program (PMGP) is seeking applications from eligible applicants for activities to conduct research work in the field of fundamental measurement, testing the basic laws of physics, and/or the determination of fundamental constants, with emphasis on pressing problems or emerging opportunities. The program aims to support research in areas relevant to ongoing work at NIST, with a focus on developing new or improved fundamental measurement methods or standards, testing the basic laws of physics, and providing improved values for fundamental constants. Eligible applicants include accredited institutions of higher education, non-profit organizations, for-profit organizations, state and local governments, Indian tribes, hospitals, and foreign organizations.
• The program will support research in areas such as fundamental measurement, testing the basic laws of physics, and determination of fundamental constants.
• Eligible applicants include a variety of organizations, including institutions of higher education, non-profit organizations, and for-profit organizations.
• The program will provide funding for up to $150,000 per award, with a project performance period of one year, renewable annually, up to a total performance period of three years.
• Applications will be evaluated based on criteria such as the relationship of the proposed research to NIST's ongoing efforts, the potential impact of the research, and the qualifications of the research team.
