Description
The City of Griffin is seeking bids for the construction of a new playground at North Hill Street. The project includes site preparation, installation of a playground surface, and new concrete paver walkways. The contractor will also be responsible for assembling and installing playground equipment provided by the City of Griffin, as well as providing additional accessories such as metal park benches, metal trash receptacles, and black aluminum fence and gates. The project has a substantial completion time of 90 days and a final completion time of 120 days.
• The project requires a bid bond equivalent to 5% of the total contract amount.
• Performance and payment bonds will be required, each in an amount at least equal to 110% of the contract amount.
• A certification of insurance will be required from the low bidder prior to award of the contract.
• The City of Griffin reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive formalities.
