Description
The US Coast Guard is seeking technical support for the USCGC Harry Claiborne's Machinery Plant Control & Monitoring System (MPCMS). The system is not working as intended, and the cutter's technicians have exhausted their efforts to resolve the issue with phone support. The objective is to provide on-site technical support to regain full MPCMS system functionality, allowing the unit to perform operational requirements for aids to navigation and other Heartland District operations. Key aspects of the job include:
• Providing on-site technical support to observe current MPCMS operation and make any necessary software or hardware changes to bring the system back to a satisfactory operational state.
• Traveling to the CGC Harry Claiborne homeport at 3000 FT POINT RD, GALVESTON, TX 77550.
• Collaborating with the cutter's technicians to resolve the issue.
The ideal candidate should have experience with MPCMS systems and be able to provide effective technical support to resolve the issue.
