Description
The Parish of Jefferson is soliciting a Statement of Qualifications from persons or firms interested in and qualified to provide professional engineering services for the Lafitte Seafood Market Dock and Boardwalk. The scope of work includes design of a dock and boardwalk along Bayou Barataria to facilitate the direct-to-market sale of fresh seafood from local commercial fishermen. The project requires supplemental services such as coastal engineer, landscape architect, electrical engineer, geotechnical services, land surveying, and resident inspection.
• The selected firm will provide professional engineering services for the design of the dock and boardwalk.
• The firm will be compensated on an hourly rate basis or a fixed fee basis, or a combination of both, depending on the scope and complexity of the work.
• The firm must have at least one principal who is a licensed, registered professional engineer in the State of Louisiana.
• The firm must have a professional in charge of the project who is a licensed, registered professional engineer in the State of Louisiana with a minimum of five years' experience.
• The firm must have one employee who is a licensed, registered professional engineer in the State of Louisiana in the applicable discipline involved.
