Notice of Intent to Award a Contract to a Vendor from Earmarked Funds Received

The Department of Mental Health (DMH) intends to award a contract to The Arc of Massachusetts for the development of a training curriculum and subsequent training to mobile crisis teams to enhance their understanding of and competency with responses involving persons with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD). The contract is valued at $75,000 and will be for a duration of 12 months. The Arc of Massachusetts will be responsible for leading the development of an 8-hour curriculum, implementing a pilot training program with two mobile crisis teams, and conducting an evaluation of the curriculum and training. • The contract is funded by a $75,000 earmark in the Massachusetts Fiscal Year 2026 Budget. • The training curriculum will focus on enhancing the understanding of and competency with responses involving persons with ASD and IDD. • The contract will be for a duration of 12 months. • The Arc of Massachusetts is uniquely qualified to do this work due to their experience working with this population and their content expertise.
