Budget estimate

$2,000,000 – $5,000,000

Based on typical costs for reinforced‑concrete pedestrian bridge projects of similar size (approximately 16 ft wide and spanning a roadway), unit costs range from $150 to $250 per square foot for construction, including concrete, steel railings, drainage, and finishing. Assuming a length of roughly 200 ft, the total square footage is about 3,200 sf, yielding an estimated contract value between $480,000 and $800,000. However, additional items such as traffic control, retaining walls, riprap, and permitting can increase the total. A reasonable overall bid range is therefore estimated at $2 million to $5 million. Factors influencing the final amount include site conditions, material prices, subcontractor rates, and any unforeseen utility work.
