Description
VCSU is seeking a qualified contractor to replace and finish the gymnasium floor in the W.E. Osmon Field House. The work includes demolition of water‑damaged hardwood, installation of new 2nd‑ and Better‑Grade Sportwood Maple flooring, sand‑and‑refinish of the entire basketball playing area, and application of custom graphics and game lines. The contractor must protect existing equipment and the building occupants, manage dust and weather exposure, and complete the project within a tight summer window.
• Two mutually exclusive options: replace ~2,400 sf (partial) or ~5,400 sf (full) of hardwood flooring.
• Sand and refinish the full 5,400 sf playing surface, applying two oil‑based sealer coats and two oil‑based finish coats.
• Provide end‑line lettering, a center‑court logo, basketball and volleyball markings, and protect all areas from dust and weather.
• Work must be completed between mid‑July and early September 2026, with a required site walk‑through before starting.
