The National Park Service (NPS) intends to award a task agreement under a previously competed or single source master cooperative agreement to support the preservation and interpretation of Manzanar National Historic Site's layers of history. The project aims to engage Tribal, local, Japanese American, and other communities to expand interpretation of the site's history. The tasks include reaching out to 50 local stakeholders, creating a comprehensive list of local oral history questions, developing a 16-page local oral history workbook for Tribal Elders, and preserving personal stories through oral history.
