Description
The West Virginia Division of Highways, Department of Transportation, is seeking a vendor to provide a KNAPHEIDE PGTE-910 WELDING BODY or equal, with installation, on an open-end and continuing basis. The contract items must meet or exceed the mandatory requirements specified in the solicitation. The vendor shall provide a completed pilot model for inspection within 90 working days after receipt of the pilot model order and deliver standard orders within 240 working days after orders are received. The contract shall be awarded to the vendor that provides the contract items meeting the required specifications for the lowest overall total cost.
Some key features of the welding body include:
* Steel service body with specific dimensions
* Load floor made from 1/8 inch treadplate
* Bulkhead height of 40.50 inches from the floor
* Front end rail and rear tail-skirt made of 12-gauge steel
* Bulkhead panel material comprised of 14-gauge steel
* Stake pockets measuring 1.66 inches by 3.56 inches
* Rub rails installed on both sides of bodies for strap, side, and stake pocket protection
* 6 circuit wire harness with 7-way RV style flat plug in rear skirt
* LED stop, turn, taillights, and backup lights in bulkhead and rear tail-skirt
* Dual fuel fill receptacles fuel fill kit for specific vehicle
* Six compartments with specific dimensions
* Oxygen and acetylene bottle holders
* B&W turnover ball gooseneck hitch 2-5/16 in ball included rated for 30,000 pound maximum or equal
* Trailer hitch to be 2.5 tube type with 2" reducer sleeve, hitch pin, (2) chain hooks, a minimum 20,000 lbs. rating and painted black
* Complete body fully electrodeposition prime oven cured black paint
* Complete understructure protected by asphaltic undercoat
* "E-coat" primer
* All wiring and its installation process to meet or exceed OEM requirements and all wiring shall be protected in looming
* Two rear Whelen or equal strobes on rear of service bed
* Full installation of welding body
* Twin oxygen and acetylene hose reel with minimum of 75 feet hose length capability
