The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) is seeking qualified contractors to replace the existing generator at its Tuscaloosa Tower facility (2715 Skyland Blvd, Tuscaloosa, AL 35010). The work is a turnkey project that includes removal of the existing 240 V propane generator, installation of a new 8‑10 kW propane‑fueled generator with a 100‑amp automatic transfer switch, all necessary electrical and gas‑fitting connections, testing, and final inspection. Bidders must hold Alabama business, electrical, and plumbing/gas‑fitter licenses, provide three commercial references, and carry at least $2 M general liability insurance. The project must be performed during normal business hours (Mon‑Fri, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.) and will require coordination with ALEA staff on‑site; a mandatory pre‑bid conference and site visit is scheduled for June 23, 2026. Payment is withheld until final inspection, training, and satisfactory completion.
