Description
The County is seeking qualified contractors to replace the existing walk‑in freezer #8 at the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office. The scope includes concrete removal and repouring, installation of a new refrigeration unit (evaporator and condensing), modification of the dry‑sprinkler system, electrical and lighting upgrades, and replacement of fencing/barriers. Bidders must provide a 5 % bid bond and be able to furnish 100 % performance and payment bonds backed by a surety rated A‑8 or better. The project will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, with strict deadlines for bid submission and mandatory bonding requirements.
• Concrete demolition & repour to support new freezer
• Supply and install new walk‑in freezer with full HVAC components
• Adjust sprinkler, electrical, lighting, and install heated floor‑guard system
• Remove/replace fencing and provide new barrier above all freezers
• Must meet Georgia licensing, bonding, and insurance criteria
