Invitation to Bid for 1/2 Ton Crew Cab Trucks with XL Package

The City of Valdosta is seeking bids for the purchase of five brand new 1/2 ton crew cab pick-up trucks with an XL package. The trucks should have four full-size doors, a crew cab, and meet certain specifications, including a gasoline 8-cylinder engine, heavy-duty six-speed automatic transmission, and a standard wheel base for a standard short box. The successful vendor will be required to provide a product build sheet and literature for the item being bid. The City reserves the right to accept any or all bids or to reject all bids. • The trucks should have a 5.0 L minimum and 5.7 L maximum engine size. • The trucks should have a 6,500 lbs. G.V.W. minimum. • The trucks should have 17-inch minimum wheels with chrome or silver-painted wheels. • The trucks should have power brakes with four-wheel anti-lock. • The trucks should have a bright white color to match the existing fleet. • The trucks should have a heavy-duty towing package, CLASS IV trailer hitch receiver, 7 pin wiring harness, and trailer brake controller. • The trucks should have a diamond-plated tool box with a one-piece lockable lid. • The trucks should have a Line X spray-in bed liner with UV protectant installed.
