Description
The US Air Force is seeking sources for the design, fabrication, and installation of a functional Oil/Water Separator (OWS) system at Mountain Home AFB, ID. The system must be integrated into the existing facility infrastructure and handle wastewater from aircraft maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with EPA, DoD, and NPDES regulations. The project includes four phases: pre-construction planning and submittals, site preparation, system installation, and commissioning and testing. The contractor must provide a 1-year no-limit commercial warranty and ensure that all work conforms to the latest editions of the relevant standards, including UFC 3-240-04A, 40 CFR Part 112 and 122, and NPDES Permit Requirements.
Key features of the project include:
• Design and installation of a 300 GPM OWS system with a minimum of 99% hydrocarbon removal efficiency
• Integration of internal separation and retention system
• Installation of corrosion-resistant tank system and internal epoxy coatings
• Implementation of explosion-proof electrical enclosures and remote monitoring and shutdown capability
• Provision of level sensors, VOC monitoring, and maintenance alerts
• Conducting of hydrostatic, flow rate, and EPA discharge compliance tests
