Description
The Department of Public Safety and Corrections (DPS) is seeking a contractor to renovate an existing swimming pool at the Training Academy Building B in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The scope of work includes pool draining and preparation, surface preparation for replastering, pool replastering, waterline tile replacement, coping replacement, pool fixtures replacement, and skimmer replacement. The contractor shall supply all labor, equipment, supplies, and materials to complete the project. The project requires the contractor to be fully qualified under state or local licensing laws and to use experienced workers with proper personal protective equipment.
Some key tasks and requirements include:
• Pool replastering using a quartz-based plaster system
• Waterline tile replacement with 1" x 1" ceramic or porcelain pool-grade tile
• Coping replacement using 1" x 1" bullnose tile or equal
• Pool fixtures replacement, including ladders and lifeguard stand
• Skimmer replacement and leak repair
• Aquatic matting installation
• Pool refill and startup
The final colors, finishes, and product selections shall be approved by DPS prior to installation.
