Pier 10E Bearing shoring and replacement

The Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority is seeking a qualified contractor to perform temporary shoring, removal of existing rocker bearings, and installation of new disc bearings on two girders at Pier 10E of the Newport Pell Bridge. Work will be executed under daily lane closures and must comply with the August 2025 RI Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. • Fabricate and install temporary shoring for two bridge girders at Pier 10E. • Remove existing rocker bearings and install new disc bearings on the same girders. • Provide traffic management for daily eastbound and/or westbound lane closures. • Submit two hard‑copy proposals with a 10 % bid bond (or certified check) and a 100 % performance bond after award. • Pre‑bid conference via Microsoft Teams on March 11 2026; questions due by March 11 2026 4 PM; bid deadline April 1 2026 10 AM.
