CIP 623 - Pier Structural Repairs Project

The City of Hermosa Beach is seeking a qualified contractor to perform high‑priority structural repairs to the municipal pier at 1185 The Strand. The work includes replacement of deteriorated concrete deck panels, deck strengthening with carbon‑fiber‑reinforced polymer laminates, soffit spall repairs, epoxy crack injection, bench removal and re‑installation, replacement of decorative plaques, installation of stainless‑steel confinement bands on piles, and associated site‑control, traffic‑control, and environmental protection measures. The contract is a fixed‑price lump‑sum with a 65‑working‑day construction schedule, requiring compliance with marine‑zone regulations, nesting‑bird monitoring, and extensive testing and quality‑control procedures. • Replace and repair concrete deck panels and associated reinforcement. • Apply CFRP strengthening system and perform epoxy crack injection and spall repairs. • Provide full site management, including pedestrian traffic control, environmental BMPs, and coordination of utility relocations.
