Description
The Bureau of Engraving & Printing is seeking a contractor to manage, operate, and maintain the wastewater pretreatment plant. The plant consists of four systems: Wiping Solution Wastewater Pretreatment Plant, Plating Wastewater Pretreatment Plant, Grease Trap Wastewater Pretreatment Plant, and Wiping Solution Recycling Plant. The contractor will be responsible for operating the system with prudent engineering and operating practices, performing inspections and analysis, and responding to alarms. The contractor will also be responsible for maintaining the system, including cleaning and inspecting tanks, and performing maintenance on control devices.
Key responsibilities include:
• Operating the system with prudent engineering and operating practices
• Performing inspections and analysis of the system
• Responding to alarms and correcting conditions to assure proper operation
• Maintaining the system, including cleaning and inspecting tanks
• Performing maintenance on control devices
• Mixing system materials as needed for optimal operation
• Changing and cleaning filter press filter cloths as needed
