Notice of Intent - Sole Source Extension of Ames Facilities Support Services (AFSS)

The NASA Ames Research Center intends to extend the Ames Facilities Support Services (AFSS) contract with Amentum Technical Services, Inc. on a sole-source basis. The extension will allow for the continued performance of comprehensive institutional facilities operation and maintenance services, including craft and technical areas such as roads and surfaced areas, facility alarm systems, and grounds maintenance. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort electronically via email. The key services included in this contract are: • roads and other surfaced areas maintenance • facility alarm systems maintenance • fire suppression systems maintenance • buildings and structures maintenance • mechanical systems maintenance • utility systems maintenance • HVAC/R systems maintenance • electrical distribution and emergency generating systems maintenance • lifting devices maintenance • grounds maintenance and pest control The Government is currently sourcing the Ames Facilities Support Services (AFSS) II contract, but this extension is necessary due to the phase-in of AFSS II not occurring prior to the end of the period of performance for AFSS.
