The Naval Submarine Medical Research Laboratory (NSMRL) has a requirement to understand the impact of long-duration normoxic and hyperoxic dives on diver health, readiness, and performance. The contractor will apply analytical modeling techniques to de-identified electronic data files provided by NSMRL. The contractor will curate a compiled and integrated data set, relate physiological parameters to performance outcomes, and develop an initial predictive model for diver physiological readiness and mission performance.
• The period of performance is one year from the date of award.
• The contractor will provide a scientific abstract and draft manuscript/report ready for peer review.
• The contractor will apply novel analysis to submaximal exercise response parameters previously collected on divers.
• The contractor will aid in understanding the interplay between water immersion, breathing gas, and underwater activity on submaximal exercise performance following water egress.
