The U.S. Army Contracting Command-New Jersey (ACC-NJ) is conducting a market survey to identify qualified sources capable of manufacturing and delivering 155mm metal parts, including the M825A1, M116A1, M795, and M1128 Artillery Metal Part Assemblies. The survey aims to obtain information on the capability of qualified sources to deliver these parts with a starting delivery date in Fiscal Year 2029 and covering anticipated FY28-FY32 requirements. Interested sources must provide information on their company's capabilities, past manufacturing experience, facilities, equipment, manufacturing processes, inspection capability, personnel, and Quality Management System certifications or standards used. The Government estimates that approximately 36,000 M825A1, 12,000 M116A1, and 5,000 M795 and M1128 metal parts may be purchased over a five-year period.
• The M825A1 and M116A1 are 155mm Smoke Canister Projectile Bodies made from hot rolled 4140 steel and hot forged carbon steel, respectively.
• The M795 and M1128 are 155mm Projectile Metal Part Assemblies made from high fragmentation steel alloy (HF-1) and forged metal parts, respectively.
• The metal parts require various manufacturing processes, including forging, welding, heat treatment, and protective coatings.
• The Government requires a minimum monthly production and delivery rate for each metal part.
• Interested sources must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and provide a capability statement that includes company information, past experience, and manufacturing capabilities.
