The County of Santa Cruz Probation Department is seeking proposals from qualified youth- and young person-serving organizations to provide culturally responsive, evidence-informed services that enhance the well-being, development, and positive outcomes of justice-involved youth and emerging adults. The services should address thinking, behavior, identity, life and social skills, pro-social activities, restorative justice, civil engagement, and leadership. The selected respondent will be expected to provide services in community and/or in custody, with a focus on reducing recidivism, improving social and life skills, and increasing vocational and educational attainment. Some key aspects of the proposal include: • Providing services that align with the model and describe measurable services and activities, quality measures, and outcomes. • Demonstrating evidence-based or emerging or promising practices that achieve measurable outcomes for justice-involved youth. • Collaborating with the Probation Department and other community-based organizations to deliver services. • Ensuring that services are culturally responsive and tailored to the needs of the target population. • Providing a plan for selecting the types and kinds of services to be provided, as well as a plan for ensuring that individuals who have been most impacted by racial and ethnic disparities receive the proposed services.
