Description
The City of Detroit is seeking contractors to provide moving and relocation services for its various departments and agencies. The contract will be for a period of 5 years, with an option to extend for an additional 5 years. The contractor will be required to provide a range of services, including moving, hauling, and relocation of equipment and furniture. The contractor must have at least 2 years of municipal experience in providing moving and relocation services and must have the necessary equipment, personnel, and resources to perform the work. The contract will be awarded to the responsible contractor that meets the general requirements and will be most advantageous to the City of Detroit, taking into consideration experience, staff and vehicle capacity, references, and other pertinent factors.
• The contractor must provide all necessary equipment and materials to perform the work.
• The contractor must have a valid license and insurance to operate in the state of Michigan.
• The contractor must comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• The contractor must provide a detailed estimate of the work to be performed, including the cost and timeline.
• The contractor must have a plan in place for handling and relocating confidential records.
• The contractor must have a plan in place for providing continuous radio/cellular communication with its supervisors, lead mover, main office, and movers during each move.
