Description
The City of Detroit is seeking general contractors and/or moving companies to establish a Multiple Award Schedule for Moving & Relocation Services. The contract will be for a 5-year term with an option to extend for an additional 5 years. The contractor will provide moving services as requested by the City, including internal and external moves, reconfiguration services, and installation services. The contractor must have at least 2 years of municipal experience in providing moving and relocation services.
• The contractor must provide all necessary equipment and personnel to perform the services.
• The contractor must have a mechanism for reporting damages caused by their actions and for the replacement/repair of damaged items.
• The contractor must provide continuous radio/cellular communication with their supervisors, lead mover, main office, and movers during each move.
• The contractor must provide a written estimate of the expected cost of each move, including equipment, number of movers, and hours required to complete the move.
