Description
This solicitation seeks a qualified contractor to perform comprehensive maintenance and repair work on Wayne State University’s Parking Structure 8. The scope includes structural concrete repairs (partial‑depth and full‑depth floor, column, wall, and ceiling work), removal and replacement of joint sealants, traffic‑topping resurfacing, shoring and bracing, mechanical floor‑drain replacement, stair‑tower repairs, and painting of traffic markings and stair‑tower/elevator lobbies. The work must be performed while keeping the garage operational, adhering to WSU’s prevailing‑wage, insurance, bonding, and smoke‑free policies, and meeting detailed technical specifications for concrete mix, epoxy coating, and traffic‑coating systems.
• Concrete floor, wall, column, and ceiling repairs totaling roughly 2,300 sf of floor work and additional wall and column repairs.
• Traffic‑topping application of approx. 209,500 sf new system plus 16,900 sf recoat and 27,500 sf scaled surface repair.
• Shoring (≈ 50 ea), mechanical drainage work, stair‑tower door and cage modifications, and full‑building painting/coatings.
• Strict compliance with WSU wage‑rate schedule, certified payroll, performance & payment bonds, and a 5‑year warranty on major systems.
