The Kern County Public Works Department is requesting one new and unused CAT 320 excavator with a thumb, or equivalent, to be delivered to 5438 Victor Street in Bakersfield, CA. The excavator must meet the stated specifications, which include a C4.4 twin turbo tier 4 final diesel engine, 160hp minimum, and a 90-gallon fuel tank. The excavator should also have an automatic two-speed control, electro-hydraulically controlled main valve, and a range of other features. • The excavator must be new and unused, with a minimum operating weight of 49,000 lbs. • The vendor must provide a warranty for the excavator, including service warranty and parts. • The vendor must also provide delivery, off-loading, and registration of the excavator. • The county reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to make partial awards to more than one vendor. • The contract will be awarded to the vendor that meets the specifications and provides the best value to the county.
