• Minimum 24 in. depth for valve‑box removal; 3 ft × 3 ft roadway removal when in roadways.
• Provide at least 6 in. of commercial‑grade topsoil at all excavations.
• Concrete core removal requires 3 ft × 3 ft roadway removal; full driveway or sidewalk panel replacement where cores intersect those features.
• Contractor must supply and install all OSHA‑required shoring.
• Pipe pressure classes: ≤ 12 in. ductile‑iron – Class 350; ≥ 16 in. – Class 250; “Class 50” clause removed for directional‑bored pipe.
• Meter‑pit sizing: 2‑in. & 1.5‑in. meters use 36 in. × 30 in. pits; 1‑in. meters use 24 in. × 30 in. pits.
• Only Type K copper allowed for short service lines; HDPE prohibited.
• Two directional bores under the storm sewer are required; other installations may use open‑cut or directional drilling.
