RFQQ-Residential Abatement and Demolition for Solar Initiative

The City of Detroit is seeking pre-qualified demolition vendors for the abatement and demolition of residential structures located in areas where solar arrays are scheduled to be constructed. The selected vendors will be placed on a list of pre-approved suppliers and will compete for business through the solicitation process. The scope of services includes pre-abatement due diligence, abatement and debris removal, pre-demolition due diligence, demolition, and debris removal. The contractor must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, and must provide all necessary equipment and materials to execute the services safely and efficiently. Key aspects of the job include: • Pre-abatement site visits to identify safely accessible hazardous/regulated materials • Abatement and removal of hazardous/regulated materials • Pre-demolition site visits to verify that all safely accessible hazardous/regulated materials have been abated or removed • Demolition of structures • Debris removal and disposal • Compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards The City of Detroit reserves the right to reject any bid, waive any non-conformity, and terminate the contract for poor or deficient work performance.
