Rodent Control Services

The Santa Clara Valley Water District is seeking a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive rodent‑control services across its water‑related facilities throughout Santa Clara County. The contractor must conduct regular inspections, employ Integrated Pest Management principles, and use live‑trapping as the preferred method, with any use of poisons requiring prior approval. Services include labor, tools, vehicles, travel, fuel, materials, daily field records, monthly reports, and invoicing, plus on‑call availability and coordination with Valley Water staff. The contract is a one‑year base term with optional extensions and requires a licensed pest‑control operator, compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, and strict reporting and safety protocols. • Perform scheduled and on‑call rodent inspections at earthen levees, dams, canals, pump stations, treatment plants, and percolation ponds. • Use live‑trap methods first; chemical control only with written Valley Water approval. • Provide detailed daily field logs, monthly PDF/Excel reports, and maintain all required licenses, insurance, and safety documentation.
