9 SFS Explosive Detection Device

The US Air Force is seeking to award a sole-source contract to Laurus Systems, Inc. for the procurement of three Portable Explosive Detection Device (PEDD) kits. The PEDD kits will provide a highly accurate, robust, and reliable screening method to identify threats before they can breach the installation perimeter. The scope of work includes delivering three complete, commercially available SEEKER Pro-Explosives handheld trace detector units, providing all necessary accessories, and offering a comprehensive three-year extended warranty and maintenance support package. • The PEDD kits must be capable of identifying a broad range of explosive materials in under 30 seconds. • The contractor must provide all mandatory mission-ready accessories per kit. • The contractor must provide an initial supply of consumable explosive test swabs/cards. • The contractor must provide a comprehensive three-year extended warranty and maintenance support package for all units.
