Description

The U.S. Embassy in Santo Domingo is seeking proposals for programs that strengthen cultural, educational, professional, and scientific ties between the U.S. and the Dominican Republic. The programs should include an American cultural element and promote bilateral cooperation. The Embassy is looking to fund projects in areas such as human rights, women's and youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, and English teaching capacity. The proposed programs should have a clear plan for monitoring and evaluation, as well as a plan for sustainability. Some examples of eligible programs include academic and professional lectures, artistic and cultural workshops, and professional and academic exchanges. The following types of programs are not eligible for funding: partisan political activity, charitable or development activities, construction programs, and programs that support specific religious activities. • The program should align with the Embassy's priority areas, such as a more inclusive Dominican Republic, a secure and healthy Dominican Republic, and an economically stable Dominican Republic. • The program should have a clear and feasible plan for implementation. • The program should have a detailed budget and a plan for monitoring and evaluation. • The program should have a plan for sustainability and a plan for continuing the program beyond the grant period.
