Pensacola Harbor Navigation Project

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, is seeking information on the capability and availability of potential contractors to perform maintenance dredging of the Pensacola Harbor navigation project in Pensacola, FL. The project requires hydraulic cutterhead pipeline dredges, trailing suction hopper dredges, and/or mechanical dredges with scows that can dredge to a depth of 39 feet. The material type expected for this requirement is maintenance material typical for Pensacola Entrance Channel composed of sand. The maximum pumping distance for beach placement will be approximately 30,000-feet. The solicitation will be for the award of a single standalone contract with a maximum contract value not to exceed $15 million. Some key points to consider include: • The proposed construction duration will be 5 months after the Notice of award of the contract. • The contractor must have a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code of 237990 with a Small Business Size Standard of $30 Million. • Responses should include information on the bidder's name, address, points of contact, business size/classification, bonding capability, and description of capability to perform the proposed dredging. • Past performance/experience on projects of similar scope should be included, describing no more than five projects that are at least 50% construction complete within the past five years.
