Abatement, Demolition, & Site Restoration of Cooley High School

The Detroit Public Schools Community District is seeking a contractor to abate, demolish, remove, and dispose of the former Cooley High School building, powerhouse boiler building and chimney, site improvements, and debris, and restore the site to a level, grass, and tree-covered vacant property suitable for future redevelopment. The scope of work includes asbestos abatement, demolition, and site restoration. The contractor will be required to provide all necessary labor, equipment, and materials to complete the project. Key aspects of the project include: • Asbestos abatement and removal • Demolition of the former school building and powerhouse boiler building • Removal and disposal of debris • Site restoration, including grading and landscaping • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations The contractor will be selected based on their experience, qualifications, and price.
