Description
The solicitation concerns the demolition of a small gym (Building G) at Gabrielino High School, with a strong emphasis on protecting existing utilities and maintaining site access for the district’s field activities. The work includes full demolition of the gym structure and its covered entrance, safeguarding concrete masonry walls, electrical panels, transformers, communication and signal vaults, fire‑alarm pull‑boxes, water and gas valves, and returning the existing scoreboard to the owner. Continuous truck access must be preserved, and entry/exit pathways cannot be blocked.
• Demolition of the gym building and attached covered entrance/columns.
• In‑place protection of CMU walls, electrical panels, SCE transformer, signal/communications vaults, fire‑alarm pull‑box, water and gas utilities.
• Removal and return of the scoreboard; preservation of designated building sections; strict site‑access and egress requirements.
• Utility line details: 1½″ copper‑welded communication line, 4″ stainless‑steel sewer line, multiple gas lines (3″, 4″, 6″ SS), and 4″ stainless‑steel conduit for electrical.
• All truck staging must remain accessible to the district for field use throughout demolition.
