BJA FY25 Second Chance Act Pay for Success Initiative

The Bureau of Justice Assistance is seeking applications for the BJA FY25 Second Chance Act Pay for Success Initiative. This program aims to reduce recidivism and support long-term reentry success for individuals leaving incarceration. The initiative will use performance-based and outcomes-based contracting to implement or enhance programs and services. • The program will serve individuals leaving incarceration with the goal of reducing recidivism and supporting long-term reentry success. • Contracts may be newly created, expanded, or transitioned from direct payment to performance-based and outcomes-based. • The program will address housing needs of individuals leaving incarceration. • Eligible applicants include city or township governments, county governments, native American tribal governments, and other units of local government.
