Request for Qualification s for City-wide Roadway Structures Repairs and Replacements (FEDERALLY FUNDED)

The City of Asheville is seeking a qualified firm to provide engineering services for the repair and replacement of roadway structures damaged by Hurricane Helene. The selected firm will be responsible for designing repairs or replacements, performing structural inspections, and obtaining necessary permits. The firm will also be required to provide contract administration services during construction. The project includes multiple sites throughout the city, and the selected firm must be able to demonstrate experience with similar projects and the ability to meet City and federal requirements. Some key aspects of the project include: • Analysis of existing damaged structures and determination of serviceability • Design of repairs or replacements, including public engagement and outreach, surveying, utility coordination, and environmental permitting • Contract administration during construction, including inspection and materials testing services • Compliance with FEMA's Public Assistance Program and Policy Guide, as well as other federal and state regulations.
