6515--Patient Ceiling Lifts

The Department of Veterans Affairs, North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System, is seeking to purchase patient ceiling lifts. The purpose of this amendment is to extend the closing date and provide answers to vendor questions. The contractor will be expected to supply 235 Handicare 625-pound single cassette lift motors and 20 new standard 625 pound rated lift rails (H design). The contractor will also be expected to remove approximately 235 existing lift motors and 20 existing ARJO rails and install new rails with lift motors. * The contractor will provide 235 Handicare 625-pound single cassette lift motors. * The contractor will provide 20 new standard 625 pound rated lift rails (H design). * The contractor will remove approximately 235 existing lift motors and 20 existing ARJO rails. * The contractor will install new rails with lift motors. * The installation areas have a concrete deck with suspended ceiling tile. * The distance from the finished ceiling to the structural deck above is approximately 3 feet.
