The U.S. Mission to Venezuela is seeking proposals for the 2025 VAU PDS Annual Program Statement, which aims to strengthen people-to-people ties between the United States and Venezuela through programs that highlight shared values and make America safer, stronger, and more prosperous. The program will focus on higher education cooperation between the United States and Venezuela, including building university partnerships, curricula development, research capacity building, post-graduate career services, and intellectual property. Eligible applicants include registered not-for-profit organizations, think tanks, and civil society/non-governmental organizations with programming experience, as well as non-profit or governmental educational institutions.
• The program will prioritize grant proposals that address the following themes: building university partnerships and/or higher-education exchanges, focusing on curricula development, research capacity building, post-graduate career services, and intellectual property.
• All programs must include an American component, conveying an element of U.S. culture, history, and/or shared values.
• Grant proposals from individuals will not be accepted.
• The Department of State will entertain applications for continuation grants funded under these awards beyond the initial budget period on a non-competitive basis subject to availability of funds, satisfactory progress of the program, and a determination that continued funding would be in the best interest of the U.S. Department of State.
