MODIFICATION TO EXTEND SROMC POP SYNOPSIS

The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to award a modification to an existing contract with Oceaneering International, Inc. (OII) for the operation and maintenance of the U.S. Navy Submarine Rescue System (SRS). The contract modification will extend the period of performance by 18 months and establish new level-of-effort, materials, and travel costs. The SROMC under the contract is responsible for maintaining all systems in a constant high state of readiness and providing personnel and services necessary for engineering, management, technical, and logistic support. • The contract modification will support the submarine rescue systems that perform rescue operations worldwide during distressed submarine (DISSUB) rescue events, training/exercise, operations domestic and international, equipment certification, Operational Readiness Evaluations (ORE), and a transition of the submarine rescue classification certification from military standards to a commercial standard. • OII is the only responsible source with the requisite certifications, knowledge, and expertise capable of satisfying the Navy requirements within the time required. • Parties may express their interest and capability in response to this synopsis, which will be considered by NAVSEA.
