Description
The County of Loudoun, Virginia is seeking a qualified general contractor to construct the Shellhorn Road Extension Project. The project includes the construction of approximately 4,750 linear feet of new roadway, including two eastbound and two westbound lanes, turn lanes, raised median, bike lanes, and sidewalk. The project also includes the installation of storm sewer and drainage systems, watermain and sanitary sewer, and other related improvements. The contractor will be required to complete the work within 730 calendar days from the date of the notice to proceed, with a liquidated damages provision of $3,100 per day for each day beyond the completion date.
• The project is a Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Locally Administered Project (LAP)
• The project includes the construction of a new roadway, including two eastbound and two westbound lanes, turn lanes, raised median, bike lanes, and sidewalk
