Description
The Houston City College is seeking competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors for the Roof Replacement and Lightning Replacement Project, JB Whitely Building, Central Campus. The project includes replacing the roof and installing a full-building lightning protection system. The successful bidder will provide a turnkey installation, including all materials, labor, tools, supplies, permits, equipment, transportation, superintendence, barricades, temporary protection, bracing, shoring, temporary construction of every nature, compliance with all mandated code, insurance, bonds, taxes, contributions, and all services and facilities. The project is based on construction documents and specifications prepared by RDLR Architects and their consultants. The contractor must have relevant experience required for the performance of the services as outlined in this Solicitation, with a minimum of three years of experience. The contractor's personnel must be fully trained and have at least three years of relevant experience.
• The project involves replacing the existing roofing system, installing a tapered insulation system, and installing a scupper trough and overflow scuppers.
• The contractor must provide a performance and payment bond in the total amount of the contract.
• The contractor must maintain a clean, organized job site and perform daily cleanup of work areas.
• The contractor must coordinate all work with HCC stakeholders to minimize disruption to campus operations.
• The contractor must provide a minimum of three verifiable references for current or previous contracts of the same size and for similar scope or same services within the last three years.
